HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?

A five-month-old girl has died after being attacked by two Rottweiler guard dogs in Leicester.

Police say the dogs, which attacked the girl in the living quarters of The Rocket pub in Stephenson Drive, New Parks, have been put down.

It is thought her parents had been looking after the pub and the animals while the landlord was on holiday.

The girl was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary on Saturday afternoon where she later died from her injuries.

Police have begun an investigation to try to find out what happened.

The dogs are very aggressive - everybody around here is petrified of them

Neighbour Amy Grimbley

Flowers and teddy bears have been left in the doorway of the pub which has been closed since the incident.

Neighbour Amy Grimbley said: "The dogs are known to be vicious. They stay on the roof during the day and whenever you walk past, you get the feeling they could jump down and attack you.

"The dogs are very aggressive. Everybody around here is petrified of them."

She added: "There's a school opposite the pub and nobody is happy walking their kids past the pub after school. I've got a three-year-old and I don't feel at all safe walking past them."

Ms Grimbley's father, James, said: "Our hearts go out to the parents of that poor baby. Everybody is so shocked at what has happened.

"Everybody is talking about it. Nobody can believe it

AND THE FOLLOW UP STORY IN TODAYS NEWS

The grandfather of a baby mauled to death by Rottweilers has been stabbed in an attack which left his partner dead, a family member has said.

John Brightwell, 50, and Debra Larn, 47, were attacked at home in Beaumont Leys, Leicester, early on Sunday.

His five-month-old granddaughter was killed by dogs at The Rocket public house in Leicester on Saturday.

The death of the baby, Caydee-Lee, is not being linked to the attack, for which two people have been arrested.

The two Rottweilers, which lived at the pub, were put down after the attack on Saturday.

Leicester Police said a 26-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the attack on the grandfather and his partner.

still bored

posting this joke i got by email ,why you ask?

well coz i am still BORED

Dr. Dave had sex with one of his patients and felt
 guilty all day long.

No matter how much he tried to forget about it, he
just couldn't;
the guilt and sense of betrayal were overwhelming.

But every once in awhile
he'd hear an internal, reassuring voice in his
 head that said:

"Dave, don't worry about it. You aren't the first
 medical practitioner to
have sex with one of his patients, and you won't
 be the last. And you're
single, so just let it go, Dave."

But invariably another voice in his head would
 bring him back to reality,
whispering;

Dave.............

 Dave.......

Dave..........

Dave.............

 Dave........

 Dave............

You're a veterinarian, you sick bastard!

WATCH WITH MOTHER

My earliest memories of watching the television was sitting with my eldest
sister and my mother and  waiting for 'Watch with mother' to come on

There was Andy Pandy Looby Loo and Big Ted in one programme ,then there was   The Flower Pot Men , 2 large plant pots with little men inside and a Weed that lived between the plant pots, ahhh and one of my faves
The wooden tops they had a dog called Spot, bet you can'tguess what breed he was?
It is a shame they don't make childrens programmes like them now they were very innocent and now when i see them they make me laugh

9/11

Good Morning it is 4.58am british summer time the  date is the 11.9.06
Just a posting to remember all the heroes and the families who lost someone in the horrendous
terrorist attack on this date

May time help you come to terms with the terrible tragedy

There have been many television programmes last week about what happened that day and
i have sat in tears at some of the stories that have been told, i cannot comprehend how someone could
wish to do something like that and be prepared to murder so many people, all i can say is they are sick mindless morons

ROBBIE

wow, yipeeeee, corrrr, sex on legs, swooon, yes i was in heaven ,he was fantastic the
atmosphere was electric , as few technical hitches like no sound and lightening at out end
for about 10 minutes but what the hell I WAS THERE

It was the best birthday pressie this girl could have, there was 4 of us that went,  we had a visit
to the pub on the walk down to Rounday Park i was very good i had tonic water

We arrived about 2 .30 it was crowded by then no way could we get near the stage , we managed to find a nice spot on the hill right oppisite the stage, near the loo's food and beer tents

I got a programme bought for me errr that cost £12, t shirts were £20 and cheap and nasty looking, oh and i got some binoculars too

well we all had a great time , then got a taxi back to the pub had a couple of drinks, then ordered
a curry , got back to the boat about 12 am i was still on cloud 9

got up this morning we had our breakfast cooked for us then we went out on the boat for an hours ride down the canal and back , that was really relaxing the sun was warm and quite a few boats out

sooo i have had a fab weekend i am worn out but nothing was going to stop me from
seeing Robbie it has always been a dream and finally it has come true

thank you to my special friend for the lovely time, being so thoughful and for making my dream come true and for looking after

HALLOWEEN ...........ONE OF MY SILLY MOMENTS

Ok seeing as halloween is nearly upon us yet again and Awaiting mentioned it on her blog ,i thought i would show me in my halloween outfit last year
A few of us from the center went out in fancy dress, the girl i work with and myself decided to go as she devils we bought the outfits from Woolworths and they were long red dresses , errrr she decided they looked boring so we decided to shorten them , she bought red tights, i bought red hold ups we dyed a pair of shoes each gold and both bought red matching thongs haaa haaa

Anyway ( piggy's fave word) the day came and we both came to work and both said eeeekkk diaster we had both cut our dresses ready the night before and cut them toooooo short!!!!
Oh well to late to do anything about it we were just going to have to be very careful not to bend down when we were out or we would be showing our bum's lol

We had a great night everything went well until one of our friends decided to chase us round the pub ...............how it happened i will never know but myself and the girl i work with ended up on the floor in a heap .......and yes you guessed matching red thongs and bums on display for the whole pub to seee gawd we just laughed so much and of course our work freinds have taken the piss out of us about buying the same underwear haaa haa

So this year if we go out in fancy dress i think i will leave the skirt long and make sure i don't end up flashing my thong!!!!

RIP

Steve Irwin, the quirky Australian naturalist who won worldwide acclaim, was killed by a stingray barb through the chest on Monday while diving off Australia's northeast coast, emergency officials and witnesses said. "Steve was hit by a stingray in the chest," said a local diving operator, Steve Edmondson, whose Poseidon boats were out on the Great Barrier Reef when the accident occurred.
